The Best Technology Is the Technology Nobody Talks About

Businesses are constantly searching for the next great piece of technology. Whether it's a new CRM, an AI assistant, or a collaboration platform, there's always excitement around the latest solution.

But after working with customers across ecommerce, cloud hosting, office technology, and SaaS, I've noticed something interesting.

The best technology eventually becomes invisible.

Think about email, Wi-Fi, or online banking. Most of us don't spend time talking about them anymore because they've become part of how we work. They quietly do their job.

That's what successful technology adoption looks like.

Too often, companies measure success by whether software was deployed on time or whether employees attended training. Those milestones matter, but they aren't the finish line.

The real goal is for the technology to become so natural that people stop thinking about the tool and start focusing on the work it helps them accomplish.

Artificial intelligence is following the same path. Today, organizations are fascinated by prompts, copilots, and automation. In a few years, I believe the conversation will shift away from the AI itself and toward the business results it enables.

That's where Customer Success plays an important role. Adoption isn't about convincing customers to use more features. It's about helping them integrate technology into their daily workflow so they consistently achieve the outcomes they were looking for in the first place.

One principle I continue to rely on is T.R.U.S.T. - Talk, Research, Understand, Serve, and Teach. Those conversations help uncover what success looks like for each customer and make technology feel less like another system to manage and more like a natural part of their business.

When the best compliment a customer can give is, "It just works," you've probably done your job well.
